صدر قرار رئيس المجلس السياسي الأعلى رقم (25) لسنة 1447هـ نصت المادة الأولى منه بتعيين اللواء الركن يوسف حسن إسماعيل المداني رئيسا لهيئة الأركان العامة.
ونصت المادة الثانية من القرار بأن يعمل بهذا القرار من تاريخ صدوره وينشر في الجريدة الرسمية.
