"جلوبال للاستثمار القابضة المحدودة" الإماراتية تستحوذ على 30 % من أسهم إيسترن كومباني

شهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الدكتور مصطفى مدبولي، مساء اليوم، مراسم التوقيع على اتفاقية استحواذ على 30 % من إجمالي أسهم الشركة الشرقية للدخان (إيسترن كومباني)، لصالح شركة "جلوبال للاستثمار القابضة المحدودة" الإماراتية.
وحضر توقيع الاتفاقية الدكتور محمد معيط وزير المالية، والمهندس محمود عصمت وزير قطاع الأعمال.
ووقع على الاتفاقية عماد الدين مصطفي خالد العضو المنتدب التنفيذي للشركة القابضة للصناعات الكيماوية، والشيخة لُبني القاسمي ممثلة شركة جلوبال للاستثمارات القابضة المحدودة.
وقال وزير قطاع الأعمال إنه بموجب الاتفاقية الموقعة اليوم تستحوذ شركة "جلوبال للاستثمار القابضة المحدودة" على 30 % من إجمالي أسهم الشركة الشرقية (ايسترن كومبانى) بمبلغ 625 مليون دولار أمريكي بما يعادل مبلغ (تسعة عشر مليارا وثلاثمائة وستة وثلاثين مليونا وستمائة وخمسة وعشرين ألف جنيه مصري) (19,336,625,000 جنيه)، مع قيام المشتري بتوفير مبلغ 150 مليون دولار لشراء المواد التبغية اللازمة للتصنيع.
وأضاف الوزير أن هذه الصفقة تعد تأكيدا على عزم الحكومة على نجاح برنامج توسيع قاعدة الملكية، وتشجيع الاستثمار الخاص المباشر في شتى القطاعات، موضحًا أن هذه الاتفاقية تتماشى مع التوجهات الحالية بشأن طرح الشركات المملوكة للدولة في البورصة المصرية بهدف توسيع قاعدة الملكية وتنشيط التداول بالبورصة، وتعزيز فرص الاستثمار، والاستفادة من عوائد طرح الأسهم في عمليات التطوير والتحديث وإعادة الهيكلة، بالإضافة إلى تحسين المركز المالي للشركات وتحقيق أكبر قدر من الحوكمة.
وبموجب الاتفاقية تحتفظ الشركة القابضة للصناعات الكيماوية بحصة قدرها 20.9 % من رأس مال الشركة الشرقية، وهي شراكة استراتيجية تسهم في تطوير هذه الصناعة وتحقيق الاستقرار للسوق والمحافظة على حقوق العاملين.
