أجاب الدكتور سعيد القحطاني، الباحث والمتخصص في التاريخ الحديث، على سؤال عبدالله المديفر، مقدم برنامج “في الصورة” على “روتانا خليجية”، بشأن ماذا يحدث إذا انهار النظام الملكي السعودي.
وقال سعيد القحطاني:” أعتقد سنكون أضعنا الكثير من الدماء التي أريقت في سبيل الوطن، وأضعنا الكثير من الجهود، وأضعنا الكثير من المنجزات السياسية والاقتصادية وبكافة المجالات، خلال 100 سنة”.
وتابع: “بلادنا الآن قبلة، الكثيرون يتمنون المجيء إليها، وما أخشاه أن نعود إلى ما قبل 1727 لا قدر الله”، متحدثا عن حالة “اللادولة، والنزاعات والفوضى والأمراء المتنازعين”.
