عاد التيار الكهربائي بشكل شبه تام الثلاثاء في إسبانيا والبرتغال بعد انقطاع واسع و"استثنائي" استمر لساعات لم يعرف سببه بعد، زرع الفوضى في كل شبه الجزيرة الايبيرية.
في شوارع أحياء مختلفة في إسبانيا غالبا ما استقبل السكان عودة التيار مساء الاثنين بالتصفيق وصيحات الفرح بعد يوم طويل من دون كهرباء ترافق في غالب الأحيان مع انقطاع الانترنت وخدمة الهواتف النقالة.

وفي البرتغال، قالت الشركة المشغلة للشبكة صباح الثلاثاء إن إمدادات الكهرباء عادت إلى طبيعتها في البلاد.
وفي إسبانيا، سمحت عودة التيار باستئناف حركة القطارات على محاور رئيسية عدة منها مدريد-إشبيلية ومدريد-برشلونة على ما قالت الشركة الوطنية "رينفي". لكن الحركة لا تزال متوقفة على خطوط رئيسية أخرى إذ قررت السلطات إعطاء الأولوية للرحلات بين المدن.
وحتى صباح الثلاثاء، كانت لا تزال ثلاثة قطارات عالقة في إسبانيا وفيها ركاب على ما أفاد وزير النقل اوسكار بوينته.
وفي مدريد، لا تزال حركة قطارات الأنفاق متوقفة. وقالت الشركة المشغلة لوسائل النقل عبر اكس "نستمر في العمل لمعاودة الخدمة" ونصحت السكان باستقلال الحافلات.
ولم يخض رئيس الوزراء الإسباني بيدرو سانشيز في أسباب الانقطاع الشامل للكهرباء الذي حصل عند الساعة 10,33 بتوقيت غرينتش الاثنين.
وقال خلال مؤتمر صحافي "لا نستبعد أي فرضية. لم يسبق أن حصل انهيار كهذا في الشبكة" الإسبانية موضحا أن "15 غيغاوات" من الكهرباء "فقدت فجأة" على الشبكة الإسبانية "في خمس ثوان بالكاد".
وأوضح أن "15 غيغاوات توازي تقريبا 60% من الطلب" على الكهرباء في إسبانيا في تلك الساعة من النهار.
وتحدث نظيره البرتغالي لويس مونتينغرو عن "وضع خطر وغير مسبوق" يعود سببه "إلى إسبانيا على الأرجح".
- أزمة سير خانقة -وشكلت عودة الوضع تدريجا إلى طبيعته نبأ سارا على جانبي الحدود بعد يوم طويل واجه فيه المواطنون صعوبات مع توقف خدمة قطارات الأنفاق والحافلات المكتظة والقطارات العالقة والاتصالات الصعبة.
وروى إدغار باريري الموظف في مجال الإعلانات البالغ 34 عاما في لشبونة "كنت جالسا في مكتبي عندما انطفأ الحاسوب فجأة".
وأضاف "في البداية ظننا أن المشكلة محصورة بالمبنى ومن ثم بدأنا نتصل بأقاربنا والأصدقاء وأدركنا أن المشكلة تشمل المدينة برمتها ومن ثم أن الوضع نفسه يسجل في إسبانيا".
في وسط مدريد كما في برشلونة، تجمع مواطنون وسياح أمام واجهات الفنادق الفخمة أو المصارف للاستفادة من خدمة الانترنت اللاسلكي المجاني المتواصلة بفضل مولدات الكهرباء فيها.
وعصر الاثنين، اضطر آلاف الأشخاص إلى عبور المدينة محاولين العودة إلى منازلهم سيرا. وشهدت الجادات الرئيسية في العاصمة البرتغالية أزمة سير خانقة فيما كان المارة يتسللون بين السيارات.
وامتدت طوابير طويلة على مئات الأمتار أمام محطات الحافلات. وقالت روزاريو بينيا الموظفة في مطعم للوجبات السريعة البالغة 39 عاما "انظروا إلى الطابور الطويل الملتف. احتجت إلى ساعة ونصف الساعة للوصول إلى هنا ولا أعرف كم من الوقت سانتظر بعد لأصل إلى منزلي".
وبعد ساعات على ذلك، عاد العمل بإشارات المرور والإنارة إلى واجهات المتاجر في مؤشر إلى تحسن الوضع أقله في العاصمة الإسبانية.
وفي منطقة مدريد وحدها حصلت 286 عملية تدخل لمساعادة أشخاص عالقين في المصاعد الكهربائية على ما ذكرت السلطات المحلية.
- فتح المدارس -وصباح الثلاثاء أعادت المدارس فتح أبوابها في إسبانيا، إلا ان سانشيز حذر من أن "النشاطات التربوية" قد تعلق في أكثر المناطق تأثرا بانقطاع الكهرباء.
وأكد بيدرو شانشيز "عدم وجود مشاكل انعدام أمن. نظامنا الاستشفائي يعمل بشكل سليم" داعيا المواطنين "إلى التصرف بمسؤولية وبشكل متمدن". ورغم الفوضى الناجمة عن العطل، بقيت الأجواء هادئة وودية في شوارع مدريد.
وقال إن عودة الكهرباء جزئيا تم من خلال التشبيك مع فرنسا والمغرب مؤكدا أن محطات الغاز والطاقة الكهرومائية "أعيد تشغيلها في كل البلاد".
وأوقفت المفاعلات النووية الإسبانية في إجراء سلامة طبيعي، في حال انقطاع التيار الكهربائي.
في أوروبا، أدى عطل في الشبكة الألمانية في الرابع من تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2006 إلى انقطاع التيار عن 10 ملايين شخص نصفهم في فرنسا والبقية في ألمانيا وبلجيكا وهولندا وإيطاليا فضلا عن إسبانيا لمدة زادت عن الساعة.
وقبل ثلاث سنوات على ذلك، انقطع التيار الكهربائي بالكامل عن إيطاليا باستثناء سردينيا، في 28 سبتمبر 2003.
