تشهد المملكة حراكًا سياسيًا مكثفًا وجهودًا حثيثة وبالغة الأهمية، يقودها سمو الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء، من خلال اللقاءات والاتصالات المكثفة على الصعيدين الإقليمي والدولي، بشأن التصعيد العسكري وقتل المدنيين، وما يشهده قطاع غزة من حصار شامل، وتهجير قسري ؛ ما ينذر بأخطار جسيمة، واتساع لصراع مستعر، يهدد استقرار المنطقة والعالم.
لقد جدد سموه على موقف المملكة بضرورة بذل كافة الجهود لخفض وتيرة التصعيد، وضمان عدم اتساع رقعة العنف؛ لتلافي تداعياته الخطيرة على الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة والعالم، والتشديد على عدم استهداف المدنيين والبنى التحتية؛ إعمالًا بالقانون الدولي الإنساني، وأهمية الرفع العاجل للحصار عن غزة لإدخال المساعدات، وكذلك التأكيد على رفض المملكة القاطع لسياسة التهجير الجماعي القسري.
إن الأزمة الخطيرة الراهنة والأحداث المأساوية الجارية في فلسطين تحتّم- كما قال سمو وزير الخارجية- التحرك العاجل لوضع حدّ فوري للعمليات العسكرية، وتوفير الحماية للمدنيين وإطلاق سراح الرهائن والأسرى؛ امتثالاً للأعراف والقوانين الدولية، والمبادئ الإنسانية المشتركة، وبالتالي ضرورة إيجاد حلّ سلمي لهذه الأزمة يخرج المنطقة من دوامة العنف المتكررة، ويحقن الدماء، ويؤسّس لسلام عادل وشامل ومستدام.
