دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)—أثار نشطاء على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي تساؤلات إن كانت المملكة العربية السعودية قد انضمت رسميا إلى مجموعة "بريكس" أم لا.
وبرزت هذه التساؤلات بعد تداول مقاطع فيديو وصور لوزير الخارجية السعودي، الأمير فيصل بن فرحان لحظة وصوله إلى مدينة كازان الروسية بالنيابة عن العاهل السعودي، الملك سلمان لحضور مؤتمر مجموعة بريكس 2024.
وكالة الأنباء السعودية الرسمية كانت قد أوضحت بتقرير، الخميس، أن مشاركة الأمير فيصل بن فرحان في المؤتمر وترؤس وفد المملكة بصفتها "دولة مدعوة للانضمام للمجموعة".
ويذكر أنه تم الإعلان سابقًا عن دعوة كل من إيران والسعودية والإمارات والأرجنتين ومصر وإثيوبيا ليصبحوا أعضاءً كاملي العضوية في مجموعة البريكس ابتداء من الأول من يناير/ كانون الثاني 2024.
