احتياطي ذخيرة للجيش الأوكراني

تحت العنوان أعلاه، كتب سيرغي ليونوف، في "أرغومينتي إي فاكتي"، حول مناقشة الولايات المتحدة تزويد أوكرانيا بقذائف اليورانيوم المنضّب.
وجاء في المقال:تحدثت صحيفة بوليتيكو الأمريكية عن مناقشة تدور حول توريد قذائف اليورانيوم المنضب للقوات المسلحة الأوكرانية، وذلك ما أكدته وكالة رويترز البريطانية. ووفقاً لصحفيين غربيين، تدرس الولايات المتحدة إدراج مثل هذه الذخائر في حزمة مساعدات جديدة تصل قيمتها إلى 375 مليون دولار.
ويقول الخبراء الأمريكيون إن لليورانيوم المنضب قيمة كبيرة بسبب قدرته العالية على الاختراق. وفي الوقت نفسه، يُزعم أنه لا يحتوي على نشاط إشعاعي مرتفع، لأنه منتج ثانوي في عملية إنتاج الوقود النووي.
وفي الصدد، قال نائب رئيس الأكاديمية الروسية لعلوم الصواريخ والمدفعية، أستاذ العلوم العسكرية قطسطنطين سيفكوف:
لا أتفق مع هذا. إطلاق القذائف التي تحتوي على اليورانيوم المنضّب لن يحدث تغييرا كبيرا في العملية العسكرية الخاصة. لكن يجب الأخذ في الاعتبار أن اليورانيوم المنضّب في حال استخدامه سيصيب المنطقة بغبار مشع وشديد الضرر. وهذا سيجعل المنطقة التي يستخدم اليورانيوم المنضب فيها غير صالحة للسكن.
وأعلنت المملكة المتحدة توريد قذائف اليورانيوم المنضب بداية العام. لكن سكرتير مجلس الأمن الروسي نيكولاي باتروشيف قال إن القوات الروسية دمرت مستودعات هذه الذخيرة، ما أدى إلى ظهور سحابة مشعة اتجهت نحو أوروبا.
لدى الجيش الروسي الكثير من ذخائر اليورانيوم المنضّب، لكنه لا يستخدمها. هذا ما أكده الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين في يونيو، خلال لقائه مع المراسلين الحربيين. وفي الوقت نفسه، أكد رئيس الدولة أن روسيا مستعدة لاستخدامها "إذا لزم الأمر".
