تلقى رئيس مجلس السيادة الفريق أول ركن عبد الفتاح البرهان، القائد العام للقوات المسلحة السودانية برقية تهنئة من الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين بمناسبة ذكرى الاستقلال السوداني. وقالت مصادر محلية للجزيرة بأن طيران الجيش يقصف تمركزات لقوات الدعم السريع شرق ود مدني وعلى تخوم الولاية الشمالية وولاية سنار جنوب الجزيرة.
