الخارجية الأمريكية: قلقون إزاء اتساع الصراع في غزة ليمتد إلى لبنان

عبر المتحدث باسم الخارجية الأمريكية، ماثيوميلر، عن قلق الولايات المتحدة إزاء إمكانية اتساع رقعة الصراع في غزة ليمتد إلى لبنان.
وقال ميلر ـ في تصريح خاص لقناة (الحرة) الأمريكية - "إن واشنطن تواصل العمل على تحقيق مسار دبلوماسي لهذا الصراع".
وكانت الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية قد قدمت مشروع قرار خاص بها لمجلس الأمن الدولي يسعى إلى وقف إطلاق النار لمدة 6 أسابيع بين الفلسطينيين والإسرائيليين، ويتضمن المشروع الأمريكي وقفًا مؤقتًا لإطلاق النار وإفراج تدريجي عن الرهائن، ويشدد على معارضة الولايات المتحدة للتوغل الإسرائيلي الوشيك في مدينة رفح بجنوب غزة "في ظل الظروف الحالية"، ويؤكد على رفضه لـ "التهجير القسري" لأي مدنيين.
واستخدمت الولايات المتحدة حق النقض (الفيتو) ضد مشروع قرار برعاية الدول العربية في مجلس الأمن التابع للأمم المتحدة أمس الثلاثاء يدعو إلى وقف فوري لإطلاق النار في غزة وإطلاق سراح جميع الرهائن.
