استقبل صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير سعود بن نايف بن عبدالعزيز، أمير المنطقة الشرقية ، في ديوان الإمارة، بحضور صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير سعود بن بندر بن عبدالعزيز نائب أمير المنطقة الشرقية ، منسوبي الهيئة السعودية للمدن الصناعية ومناطق التقنية “مدن”.
وأشاد سمو أمير المنطقة الشرقية بما يشهده القطاع الصناعي في المملكة من تطور ونمو بفضل الدعم الكبير من حكومة خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، والاهتمام والمتابعة المستمرة من صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء – حفظهما الله –، مؤكدًا أن هذا الدعم أثمر عن نهضة صناعية متقدمة ساهمت في تنويع الاقتصاد الوطني وتحقيق مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030.

وأوضح نائب الرئيس التنفيذي للمدن الصناعية ومناطق التقنية المهندس ماجد الشثري أن “مدن” تمضي بخطة استراتيجية طموحة لتطوير المدن الصناعية في المنطقة الشرقية، بما يعزز دعم السوق المحلي والصادرات الوطنية، مشيرًا إلى أن المنطقة تحتضن 6 مدن صناعية تضم أكثر من 320 منشأة صناعية ولوجستية واستثمارية.
وبيّن الشثري أن “مدن” أنجزت إنشاء 320 مصنعًا جاهزًا بقيمة مليارات الريالات، في إطار جهودها لتوسيع القاعدة الصناعية وتوفير الخدمات والمحفزات اللازمة لتمكين الاستثمارات ودعم ريادة الأعمال.
وأضاف أن “مدن” جعلت الاستدامة البيئية محورًا رئيسيًا في خططها التنموية، تحقيقًا لمستهدفات جودة الحياة، حيث أنشأت أكبر بحيرة صناعية في المملكة داخل المدينة الصناعية الثانية بالدمام، ونفذت برامج لزراعة الأشجار وزيادة المسطحات الخضراء، إلى جانب تعزيز مساهمة الطاقة المتجددة عبر تجهيز المصانع الجاهزة بألواح الطاقة الشمسية وإنشاء محطة لمعالجة المياه تعمل بالطاقة الشمسية على مساحة 22 ألف متر مربع، بطاقة إنتاجية تصل إلى 3,400 ميجاواط سنويًا.
