حاكم الشارقة يستقبل فريقا من خبراء الآثار الدوليين

استقبل صاحب السمو الشيخ الدكتور سلطان بن محمد القاسمي عضو المجلس الأعلى حاكم الشارقة، صباح اليوم الاثنين، فريقا من خبراء الآثار الدوليين، وذلك في دارة الدكتور سلطان القاسمي.
جرى خلال اللقاء، الذي حضرته الشيخة بدور بنت سلطان القاسمي سفيرة ملف الترشيح الدولي لموقع الفاية للتراث العالمي، مناقشة أبرز ما تحويه منطقة مليحة من آثار وتاريخ وتضاريس مختلفة، إضافة إلى جهود إمارة الشارقة في المحافظة على المناطق الأثرية، وعمليات التنقيب المتواصلة، وعدم التدخل والتطوير على المناطق التراثية، لتكون مطابقة للشروط والقوانين الخاصة بمنظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والعلوم والثقافة “اليونسكو”.
وأكد سموه أن منطقة الفاية، تُعد أحد أهم مواقع العصر الحجري في الجزيرة العربية والعالم، وتحمل مؤشرات كبيرة حول تاريخ الهجرة البشرية الأولى، كما تزخر بالكثير من الاكتشافات الأثرية، وهو ما يجعلها مُهيئة للإدراج على قائمة التراث العالمي لـ “اليونسكو”، مشيرا سموه إلى أن الهدف من إدراج منطقة الفاية في قائمة التراث العالمي، هو الحفاظ على الإرث الثقافي للأجيال القادمة ومشاركته مع العالم والترويج له.
ويُعتبر موقع جبال الفاية، مثالا استثنائيا للبيئة الصحراوية خلال العصر الحجري، ويؤرِّخ للاستيطان البشري المبكر في المنطقة، إلى بدايات العصر الحجري الأوسط وحتى العصر الحجري، خلال ظروف مناخية متغيّرة في شبه الجزيرة العربية، إذ وثّقت الدراسات الأثرية والبيئية للطبقات التاريخية في الموقع استمرارية الاستيطان البشري منذ 210 آلاف سنة.
وكانت إمارة الشارقة قد أدرجت في وقت سابق أربعة مواقع أثرية مهمة، على القائمة التمهيدية للتراث العالمي في “اليونسكو”، وذلك بعد سلسلة من الدراسات التي أجرتها مع خبراء ومختصين أكاديميين.
وشملت هذه المواقع موقع مليحة -فترة ما قبل الإسلام- في جنوب شرق الجزيرة العربية، والنقوش الحجرية في خطم الملاحة وخورفكان، ووادي الحلو الشاهد على تعدين النحاس في العصر البرونزي بشبه الجزيرة العربية، والمشهد الثقافي لعصور ما قبل التاريخ في الفاية.وام
