Yedioth: Israel Agrees to Allow Funding for Gaza Reconstruction
Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported on Thursday morning that Israel has tentatively agreed to allow Qatar and other countries to begin directing resources and funds for the reconstruction of Gaza as part of a potential ceasefire, even before a permanent ceasefire agreement is reached.
According to the newspaper's report, Hamas insists on including this provision as part of the "guarantees," which, from its perspective, would demonstrate a serious intention to end the war within the framework of the proposed agreement.
Israel, however, insists that Qatar should not be the sole party responsible for funding the reconstruction efforts. Instead, Israel demands that other countries also participate in this process. Hamas views this issue as fundamental, aiming to send a clear message to the people of Gaza that the war has come to an end.
Massacre in Deir al-Balah: 17 Martyrs, Most of Them Women and Children
Sources from Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital reported that 17 Palestinians were martyred and dozens were injured in an Israeli airstrike on citizens in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, early Thursday morning, July 10, 2025.
Local sources indicated that the majority of the martyrs were women and children. They were targeted by Israeli warplanes while waiting to receive "nutritional supplements" for children near the "Al-Tayara" roundabout in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza.
Hospitals in Gaza confirmed that 35 people, mostly women and children, have been martyred in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza since the early hours of today.
The United States Imposes Sanctions on Francesca Albanese
The U.S. Department of State announced last night that Francesca Albanese, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, has been added to the U.S. sanctions list. This decision is attributed to her efforts to urge the International Criminal Court (ICC) to take actions against the United States and Israel.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio posted on "X" saying, "Today, I am imposing sanctions on UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese for her unlawful and shameful efforts to push the ICC to take action against U.S. and Israeli officials, companies, and executives."
He further emphasized that the political and economic campaign led by Albanese against the U.S. and Israel will not be tolerated, and the U.S. will continue to take all necessary steps in response.
Decline in Gaza's Population by 10% Due to Ongoing Conflict
The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) reported a significant demographic shift in Gaza, noting that the population has dropped by 10% as of mid-2025. This decline is attributed to the escalating conflict, resulting in an increase in the number of martyrs, the number of missing persons, and the mass exodus of people fleeing the region.
As of mid-2025, the total population of Gaza is estimated to be around 2,114,301, a sharp decrease of 10% compared to earlier population estimates for the same period. The report highlights that the overall population of Palestine, including Gaza and the West Bank, stands at about 5.5 million people. Notably, 7.8 million Palestinians live in the diaspora, with 6.5 million residing in Arab countries.
The report underscores the severe toll the ongoing aggression has taken on Gaza's population, compounded by lower birth rates and the displacement of thousands of residents seeking refuge outside the region.
14 Suicide Cases Among Israeli Soldiers in 2025
According to an article published by Haaretz on Thursday, July 10, 2025, the Israeli military has reported 14 suicides among its soldiers since the beginning of the year. This marks a worrying increase compared to 21 suicides in 2024. The report highlights that the surge in suicide rates coincides with the ongoing war in Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023.
The rising suicide figures raise serious concerns about the psychological toll and the immense pressures faced by Israeli soldiers amid the ongoing conflict, security challenges, and harsh living conditions. From October 7, 2023, until the end of 2023, seven soldiers took their own lives, while the following year saw a total of 21 suicides. These numbers suggest a continued rise in mental health struggles within the Israeli military.
EU Details Agreement with Israel on Aid to Gaza
The European Union announced on Thursday, July 10, 2025, that Israel has agreed to take a series of urgent humanitarian steps in Gaza, following decisions made by the Israeli government and what the EU described as "constructive dialogue" between the two sides.
The EU statement outlined that these steps include a significant increase in the number of trucks entering Gaza daily, loaded with food and non-food supplies. It also involves the opening of additional crossing points in the north and south of the region, as well as the resumption of aid routes coming from Jordan and Egypt.
Other measures include enabling food distribution through bakeries and public kitchens across the Gaza Strip, resuming fuel shipments to meet operational needs of humanitarian facilities, and facilitating repairs to vital infrastructure, such as restoring power supplies to the water desalination plant.
The EU emphasized that the aid would be delivered directly to the population, with measures in place to prevent it from being diverted to Hamas. The statement also stressed the importance of ensuring the safety of humanitarian workers during the distribution and implementation of aid.
Gaza: Civil Defense Announces Suspension of Its Vehicles' Operations
The General Directorate of Civil Defense in Gaza announced on Thursday that all of its vehicles in the "Gaza and North" governorates have ceased providing humanitarian services to citizens, with the exception of one firefighting vehicle. This halt in services is due to the lack of necessary spare parts and maintenance for repairs.
In its statement, the Civil Defense clarified that vehicles in the southern governorates (Central, Khan Younis, and Rafah) have also stopped operating, including 3 firefighting vehicles out of 6, and 4 ambulances out of 6, which were providing crucial humanitarian services to thousands of citizens.
This shortage of operational vehicles comes at a time when the intensity of Israeli aggression against the people of Gaza has increased, which raises serious concerns about the potential for major disasters, especially as the occupation tightens its control over what it calls the "humanitarian area."
The Death Toll from the Israeli Aggression on Gaza Rises to 57,762
The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced today, Thursday, that the death toll from the Israeli occupation’s aggression on Gaza has risen to 57,762 martyrs and 137,656 injuries since October 7, 2023.
In its daily report, the ministry clarified that among the toll, 7,200 martyrs and 25,615 injured people have been reported since March 18, 2025, marking the resumption of the Israeli aggression on Gaza following the ceasefire agreement.
The report highlighted that the number of "aid martyrs" who have reached hospitals over the past 24 hours stands at 9 martyrs and more than 78 injuries. This brings the total number of martyrs from the quest for sustenance to 782 martyrs and over 5,179 injured.
Furthermore, the report noted that 82 martyrs and 247 injured people arrived at hospitals in Gaza within the last 24 hours. It also emphasized that many victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, with rescue teams and civil defense units unable to reach them due to the ongoing attacks.
