وافق مجلس الوزراء في جلسته، اليوم الخميس، على خطة وزارة الأشغال الخاصة بتحسين سير وإنتظام العمل في مطار رفيق الحريري الدولي. وإثر الجلسة، قال وزير الأشغال علي حمية: "بالنسبة لموضوع الحفاظ على حسن سير وانتظام العمل في مطار رفيق الحريري الدولي بيروت، قامت وزارة الأشغال العامة والنقل بإعداد تقرير شامل حول الثغرات والأمور والمتطلبات التي كانت بحاجة لموافقة مجلس الوزراء، وهي مؤلفة من 13 بندا، وتمت اليوم الموافقة عليها من قبل الحكومة اللبنانية، وسنعمل كخلية عمل مع مجلس الإنماء والاعمار والشركات الخاصة التي لديها عقود مع الدولة اللبنانية من حيث تحسين انتظام العمل في مطار رفيق الحريري الدولي بيروت.
