إنهاء معاناة طفل من التهاب سحائي بكتيري في مستشفى المواساة بالخبر

بحمد الله وتوفيقه، نجح الكادر الطبي في مستشفى المواساة بالخبر من إنقاذ حياة طفل يبلغ من العمر سنتين و5 أشهر، كان يعاني من غيبوبة عميقة، وفقدان للبصر والسمع، وشلل تام بالجسم، وكذلك تشنجات عصبية متكررة.
وكان الطفل قد أًحضر إلى المستشفى محولاً من إحدى مستشفيات المنطقة الشرقية، حيث تم على الفور مناظرة الحالة بواسطة الدكتور محمد عبد الحي، استشاري أعصاب الأطفال، وقد بيَّن الفحص الإكلينيكي المبدئي للحالة، أن السبب في الأعراض التي يعاني منها الطفل تعود لوجود اعتلال حاد بالمخ.

وبعد إجراء الفحوصات الطبية الدقيقة التي تضمنت تحليل السائل النخاعي، وعمل أشعة الرنين المغناطيسي بالصبغة على شرايين وأوردة المخ، تبيَّن إصابة الطفل بالتهاب سحائي بكتيري حاد أدى بدوره إلى إعتلال بالأعصاب المخية المسؤولة عن الإبصار والسمع وحركات الوجه، إضافة إلى حدوث تجلطات في الدورة الدموية الدماغية.

وبفضل الله، خرج الطفل من المستشفى بعد أن تعافى واسترد وعيه وحركة أطرافه وسمعه وبصره بشكل طبيعي بعد مايقارب الشهر من بداية العلاج بالمستشفى.
