رعى صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير سعود بن نايف بن عبدالعزيز أمير المنطقة الشرقية اليوم الأربعاء، حفل افتتاح مركز يوسف بن أحمد كانو لجمعية المتقاعدين بالمنطقة الشرقية.
وأكد سمو أمير المنطقة الشرقية أن المتقاعدين يشكلون رصيداً وطنياً وقد اسهموا بعطائهم في تعزيز مسيرة التطور والازدهار، منوهاً بما توليه القيادة الرشيدة – أيدها الله – من عناية خاصة لهم تقديراً لما قدموه من جهود مخلصة وعطاء متواصل خلال سنوات خدمتهم، مشيراً سموه إلى أهمية الاستفادة من خبراتهم المتراكمة في مختلف المجالات، بما يعزز من مسيرة التطوير ويسهم في نقل المعرفة للأجيال القادمة.

وأضاف القرناس أن المركز يتميز بتوفير بيئة متكاملة للأنشطة الاجتماعية والصحية والثقافية، والذي يأتي منسجمًا مع مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030 الرامية إلى تعزيز جودة الحياة وتفعيل مشاركة المتقاعدين في التنمية الاجتماعية، مؤكداً أن الجمعية تعد من الجهات الفاعلة التي تقدم مبادرات نوعية تخدم فئات واسعة من المجتمع، وتساهم في تمكين المتقاعدين والمتقاعدات من القيام بدور أكثر فاعلية في خدمة المجتمع، موضحاً أن الجمعية تعمل على تعزيز شراكاتها مع مختلف الجهات الحكومية والخاصة لتحقيق أهدافها التنموية.
وألقى الأستاذ فوزي بن أحمد كانو رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة يوسف بن أحمد كانو كلمة أكد فيها حرصهم على دعم المشاريع المجتمعية ومنها شريحة المتقاعدين التي تستحق التقدير من الجميع ويعد هذا المشروع تقديراً من الشركة لجميع المتقاعدين الذين قدموا الكثير خلال سنوات عملهم .
