زارت الدكتورة منال عوض، محافظ دمياط، يرافقها اللواء حسام توفيق مدير أمن دمياط، صباح اليوم الأربعاء، كنيسة الروم الأرثوذكس بمدينة دمياط، للمشاركة فى احتفالات الكنيسة بعيد القيامة المجيد، حيث كان فى استقبالهما الأب بندليمون راعى الكنيسة.
وجاءت الزيارة بحضور النائب محمد أبو حجازى عضو مجلس الشيوخ، والشيخ محمد سلامة مدير مديرية الأوقاف والشيماء عبد المعطى مدير مديرية التضامن الاجتماعي والمجتمع المدنى.
واستهلت "المحافظ" زيارتها بتهنئة أبناء المحافظة بمناسبة الاحتفال بعيد القيامة المجيد، داعية الله أن يعيد هذه المناسبات المجيدة على مصر بدوام الخير والرخاء والاستقرار تحت قيادة الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسى رئيس الجمهورية، وأكدت "محافظ دمياط" عن سعادتها بروح المحبة والألفة بين المصريين والتى تتجسد فى أبهى صورها خلال المناسبات الدينية.
وأضافت الدكتورة منال عوض أن الشعب المصرى يتمتع بأواصر محبة عميقة وتاريخية فيما بينهم منذ العصور القديمة، كما أنهم يتمتعون بروح وطنية تعكس مدى محبتهم لوطنهم، ودعت الله أن يحفظ أبناء مصر من كل مكروه وسوء.
ومن جانبه أعرب الأب بندليمون عن امتنانه بزيارة الدكتورة منال عوض للكنيسة للمشاركة فى الاحتفالات بعيد القيامة المجيد، مؤكدًا أن دمياط شهدت نقلة حضارية بكافة القطاعات تحت قيادتها ، وأكد أيضًا أن هناك روح محبة وألفة بين أطياف المجتمع يتفرد بها أبناء مصر .
من جانبه، قدم الكاهن بندليمون التهنئة للشعب المصري، وأبناء المحافظة بمناسبة عيد القيامة المجيد، مشيدًا بجهود رجال الأمن في مصر بشكل عام، وكفر الشيخ خاصة داعيًا أن يحفظ الله مصر وتظل واحة الأمن والأمان، والصلاة من أجل الوطن، قائلاً "بنعيد على كل شعب مصر، ودائمًا الأعياد لشعب مصر، شعب واحد تحت قيادة واحدة، متجمعين فى الأفراح والأحزان، كلنا شعب واحد، وعنصر واحد، دم ونيل واحد، أدام الله المحبة للشعب المصري.
