باكستان.. اعتقال 129 شخصا بعد اعتداءات على الكنائس ومنازل للمسيحيين

أعلن في باكستان عن اعتقال أكثر من 100 شخص في مداهمات ليلية على خلفية اعتداءات طالت الكنائس ومنازل للمسيحيين، إثر تدنيس رجل مسيحي القرآن.
لم تقع إصابات حيث انتقل المسيحيون الذين يعيشون في منطقة سكنية بمدينة جارانوالا في حي فيصل أباد بسرعة إلى أماكن أكثر أمانا مع عائلاتهم في أعقاب واحدة من أكثر الهجمات دموية في البلاد ضد المسيحيين.
عاد المسيحيون ببطء إلى منازلهم يوم الخميس، فقط ليروا تدمير كنيسة واحدة على الأقل تم حرقها. كما تضررت أربع كنائس أخرى. وأضرمت النيران في حوالي 24 منزلا أو لحقت بها أضرار بالغة خلال أعمال الشغب.
وقال خالد مختار، وهو قس محلي، لوكالة "الأسوشيتدبرس"، إن معظم المسيحيين الذين يعيشون في المنطقة قد فروا إلى أماكن أكثر أمانا، مضيفا: "معظم الكنائس الـ17 في جارانوالا قد تعرضت للهجوم. حتى منزلي احترق".
ووصلت وفود من رجال الدين المسلمين إلى جارانوالا للمساعدة في تهدئة الوضع، حيث قامت القوات والشرطة بدوريات في المنطقة.
أغلقت السلطات المحلية المدارس والمكاتب الحكومية وحظرت التجمعات لمدة أسبوع لمنع المزيد من العنف.
وأثارت أعمال العنف إدانة على مستوى البلاد، حيث أمر رئيس الوزراء المؤقت أنوار الحق كاكر الشرطة بضمان اعتقال مثيري الشغب.
