أمير حائل يستقبل وفد لجنة الجيوبارك العالمية بـ«اليونسكو»

استقبل الأمير عبدالعزيز بن سعد بن عبدالعزيز أمير منطقة حائل، بمكتبه في الإمارة، اليوم، وفد لجنة الجيوبارك العالمية باليونسكو، وذلك بمناسبة ترشيح أول منتزه جيولوجي في المملكة بموقع بجبال سلمى بحائل (سلمى جيوبارك)، ضمن قائمة الجيوبارك العالمية بمنظمة اليونسكو, وذلك لتقييم الموقع قبل الاعتماد النهائي.
ونوه أمير حائل خلال الاستقبال بالعناية والدعم الذي توليه القيادة الرشيدة لتطوير السياحة الجيولوجية، وإبراز ما تزخر به المملكة من مواقع ذات طبيعة فريدة وتعزيز حضورها دولياً.
وأشاد بمستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030 التي أسهمت بإبراز المناطق لقدراتها على مستوى دولي وعالمي كبير بأداء نوعي للمؤسسات الوطنية، مشيراً إلى أن "سلمى جيو بارك" في حائل وسط جبال سلمى يحاكي قدرة المنطقة الهامة التي تتمتع بطبيعة فريدة، مؤكداً أن هذه المساحة الجيولوجية ستكون نوعية على مستوى الشرق الأوسط، لما لهذا العمل الرائد من انعكاس على المفهوم السياحي الطبيعي الذي يعد قيمة مضافة لحائل ولمواقعها الجاذبة ولزوارها من مختلف دول العالم.
فيما نوه بجهود المركز الوطني لتنمية الغطاء النباتي ومكافحة التصحر، لمبادرتهم القيمة وجهودهم الحثيثة لتنمية وتطوير تلك المناطق، بالتعاون الوثيق مع السكان المحليين والجهات ذات العلاقة في منطقة الجيوبارك، مشيراً إلى احتضان منطقة حائل أوائل المساحات الجيولوجية العالمية المزمع تطويرها بالمملكة، وذلك لوجود مواقع ومناظر ذات قيمة جيولوجية تنطبق على منطقة حائل.
