بتوجيه من صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء -حفظه الله- التقى صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير خالد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز وزير الدفاع في الرياض، أمس فخامة رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي بالجمهورية اليمنية الدكتور رشاد محمد العليمي، وأعضاء مجلس القيادة الرئاسي.
ونقل سمو وزير الدفاع تحيات خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، وصاحب السمو الملكي الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء -حفظهما الله- لفخامة رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي اليمني وأعضاء المجلس، وتمنياتهما -أيدهما الله- للجمهورية اليمنية الشقيقة وشعبها الأمن والاستقرار والنماء، فيما حمَّل فخامته سمو وزير الدفاع تحياته إلى قيادة المملكة.
وجرى خلال اللقاء استعراض آخر التطورات والجهود المبذولة في الشأن اليمني، والسبل الكفيلة لتعزيزها ودعمها لضمان استعادة مسار السلام.
وبحث الجانبان التعاون والتنسيق بشأن خارطة الطريق بين الأطراف اليمنية؛ للتوصل إلى حل سياسي شامل لإنهاء الأزمة اليمنية تحت إشراف الأمم المتحدة، بالإضافة إلى مناقشة عددٍ من الموضوعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
وأكد سمو وزير الدفاع استمرار دعم المملكة لمجلس القيادة الرئاسي اليمني، وأهمية تغليب المصلحة الوطنية من جميع الأطراف اليمنية؛ للوصول إلى سلام شامل ودائم يساهم في تحقيق التنمية والازدهار لليمن وشعبه الشقيق.
حضر اللقاء سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى الجمهورية اليمنية محمد بن سعيد آل جابر، ومدير عام مكتب وزير الدفاع هشام بن عبدالعزيز بن سيف.
كما حضره من الجانب اليمني أعضاء مجلس القيادة الرئاسي عيدروس قاسم الزبيدي، والعميد طارق محمد صالح، وعبدالرحمن أبو زرعة، والدكتور عبدالله العليمي باوزير، وعثمان حسين مجلي، وفرج سالمين البحسني.

وأوضح أن هذه المبادرة تُعد امتدادًا للجهود الإغاثية والإنسانية التي تقدمها المملكة العربية السعودية للشعب الفلسطيني الشقيق في مختلف الأزمات والمحن، وخصوصًا الفئات الأشد ضعفًا مثل الأطفال، الذين يدفعون ثمن الصراعات دون ذنب.
