تعتبر الإنفلونزا الموسمية عدوى فيروسية تهدد الجهاز التنفسي. حيث تنتشر بسرعة فائقة بين الأفراد عبر السعال والعطس أو استنشاق الهواء الملوث، مما يتطلب وعياً واحتياطات للحفاظ على صحتنا.
تتسم أعراض الإنفلونزا الموسمية بقوتها مقارنة بنزلات البرد، مما يزيد من خطر الحاجة للدخول إلى المستشفى
وتنتشر الانفلونزا الموسمية بداية فصل الخريف وحتى انتهاء فصل الربيع، أي أن ذروتها في فصل الشتاء من شهر أكتوبر وحتى شهر إبريل.
الأسباب
يرى الأطباء والمختصون أن أسباب انتشارها هو بقاء الناس داخل المنازل لمدة أطول وبشكل أكبر في فصل الشتاء، مما يزيد من التواصل والتلامس بينهم، وهذا يزيد من انتقال العدوى
ويعتبر انخفاض كمية الأشعة فوق البنفسجية مسببا آخر كونه يخفض من أرجحية قتل الفيروس أو إتلافه، فتزداد نسبة العدوى.
كما أن انخفاض كمية الأشعة فوق البنفسجية التي يتعرض لها الإنسان يؤدي إلى خفض إنتاج فيتامين د بالجسم، وهو من الفيتامينات الهامة للصحة والمناعة.
ويساعد انخفاض درجات الحرارة في تقليل رطوبة الهواء، مما قد يسبب جفاف الأغشية المخاطية التي تحمي الجهاز التنفسي من الإصابة بالفيروسات.
وتساهم برودة درجات الحرارة في حماية الفيروسات من التحلل، وبالتالي تبقى الفيروسات مكشوفة على الأسطح مثل مقابض الأبواب والمناضد.
