الرئيس الأمريكي يغادر الهند متوجهًا إلى فيتنام

غادر الرئيس الأمريكي، جو بايدن، إلى فيتنام بعد أن زار هو والعديد من قادة مجموعة العشرين الآخرين النصب التذكاري المخصص لزعيم الاستقلال الهندي المهاتما غاندي، اليوم الأحد.
وفي أول زيارة له إلى الهند كرئيس للولايات المتحدة، وصل بايدن إلى العاصمة الوطنية يوم الجمعة لحضور قمة مجموعة العشرين التي استمرت يومين وأجرى محادثات مع رئيس الوزراء ناريندرا مودي في نفس اليوم.
وفي محادثاتهما التي استمرت أكثر من 50 دقيقة، تعهد مودي وبايدن "بتعميق وتنويع" الشراكة الدفاعية الرئيسية الثنائية مع الترحيب بالحركة الأمامية في شراء الهند ل 31 طائرة بدون طيار والتطوير المشترك للمحركات النفاثة.
وشارك بايدن أيضا في الجلسات الرئيسية لقمة مجموعة العشرين يوم السبت.
وقد سلط البيان الختامي لهذا العام، والذي صدر قبل يوم واحد من الختام الرسمي للقمة، الضوء على "المعاناة الإنسانية والتأثيرات السلبية المضافة للحرب في أوكرانيا"، لكنه لم يذكر الهجوم الروسي.
