استقبل المستشفى الميداني الذي شيدته دولة الإمارات بمدينة أمدجراس التشادية لدعم الأشقاء السودانيين اللاجئين في جمهورية تشاد منذ افتتاحه في التاسع من شهر يوليو الجاري، 1220 حالة طبية حتى اليوم من الفئات الأكثر احتياجا من المرضى والأطفال وكبار السن والنساء.
وتضمنت الحالات التي استقبلها المستشفى عدد 65 حالة عظام، و104 حالات جراحة، و1051 حالة باطنية، إلى جانب إجراء 10 عمليات، فيما يستضيف 10 مرضى منومين لتلقي العلاج اللازم حتى خروجهم من المستشفى.
ويأتي المستشفى في إطار الدعم الإنساني والإغاثي والطبي المقدم من دولة الإمارات للأشقاء السودانيين المتأثرين بالأوضاع الإنسانية الصعبة التي تسبب بها الصراع في جمهورية السودان الشقيقة منذ مطلع أبريل الماضي، ودعما لجمهورية تشاد الصديقة في إطار الاستجابة للتخفيف من آثار الوضع الإنساني الناتج عن توافد أعداد كبيرة من اللاجئين السودانيين بسبب الأوضاع الراهنة في بلادهم.
جدير بالذكر أن دولة الإمارات سيّرت، منذ بداية الأحداث في السودان، جسراً جوياً وبحرياً نقل قرابة 2000 طن من المواد الطبية والغذائية والإغاثية المتنوعة إلى كل من بورتسودان في السودان لدعم المتضررين في الداخل السوداني، وإلى جمهورية تشاد لدعم اللاجئين من الأشقاء السودانيين.
