السعودية وجهة المعارض والمؤتمرات.. أمير الشرقية يفتتح «أرينا الخبر» ويشيد بتجهيزاتها

افتتح صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير سعود بن نايف بن عبدالعزيز أمير المنطقة الشرقية، أمس الأحد، “أرينا الخبر” التابعة لشركة معارض الظهران الدولية ، واطّلع على مرافق المشروع، مشيدًا بما تضمنه من تجهيزات حديثة، وإمكانات تقنية متقدمة تعكس التطور المتسارع في صناعة المعارض والفعاليات بالمملكة، مؤكدًا أن مثل هذه المشروعات تسهم في ترسيخ مكانة المنطقة الشرقية كمحور رئيس لاستقطاب الفعاليات بمختلف أنواعها.
من جهته ثمّن رئيس مجلس إدارة “معارض الظهران” عبدالله الفوزان، دعم سمو أمير المنطقة وتشجيعه للمشاريع الطموحة، بما يحقق للمنطقة ميزة نوعية، ومكانة ريادية على المستويين المحلي والعالمي ، وتمكين المبادرات التي تُسهم في تعزيز الاقتصاد المحلي.
وبيّن الفوزان أن مبنى “الأرينا” يعد المشروع الأول الذي تم الانتهاء منه ضمن مشاريع التوسعة الرابعة التي تتضمن قاعة أفراح كبرى ، وفندقًا فئة الأربع نجوم ، ومنطقة تجارية تضم مجموعة من المطاعم ، ومن المقرر الانتهاء من بقية المشاريع تباعًا حتى عام 2028م، مشيرا إلى أن مشروع “أرينا الخبر” يُعد خطوة مهمة في مسيرة تطوير صناعة المعارض، واستضافة الفعاليات الاقتصادية، والثقافية، والترفيهية، والسياحية، والاجتماعية، وتتسع لـ 7,500 مقعدٍ.
وجهة عالمية
يشهد قطاع المعارض والفعاليات في المملكة العربية السعودية تطورا متسارعا ، مواكبة لحراكها الاقتصادي القوي ، مما يضعها في الموقع المتقدم كوجهة جاذبة للفعاليات العالمية. ويتوقع خبراء الاقتصاد أن يحقق سوق المعارض والمؤتمرات في المملكة نمواً كبيراً خلال السنوات القادمة، مدفوعاً بالطلب المتزايد على الفعاليات، وزيادة الاستثمارات في قطاع السياحة والأعمال.
وبلغ حجم سوق صناعة المعارض والفعاليات في المملكة العربية السعودية حوالي 2.59 مليار دولار أمريكي في عام 2024، ومن المتوقع أن يصل إلى 5.37 مليار دولار أمريكي بحلول عام 2029. بمعدل نمو سنوي مركب حوالي 11% خلال السنوات القادمة.

وأكد سمو أمير المنطقة الشرقية أن هذا الإنجاز يعكس التوجهات الاستراتيجية للدولة بقيادة خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز وبدعم ومتابعة صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء – حفظهما الله – نحو الاستخدام الأمثل للموارد، وفي مقدمتها الطاقة، من خلال تبني أفضل الممارسات التشغيلية والتقنية التي تسهم في رفع الكفاءة وتعزيز الاستدامة، مشيداً سموه بالجهود المبذولة من فريق العمل وتكاملهم مع المركز الوطني لكفاءة الطاقة.
