نيابة عن المملكة العربية السعودية وجمهورية فرنسا والدول الرئيسة المشاركة في فرق العمل المنبثقة من المؤتمر الدولي، اعتمد صاحب السمو الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله وزير الخارجية، الوثيقة الختامية للمؤتمر الدولي رفيع المستوى حول التسوية السلمية للقضية الفلسطينية وتطبيق حل الدولتين، وذلك في ختام جلسة اليوم الثاني من المؤتمر الذي انعقد في المقر الرئيسي للأمم المتحدة في نيويورك، وترأسته المملكة بالشراكة مع فرنسا.
وقال سموه في كلمته بهذه المناسبة: "هذه المخرجات تعكس مقترحات شاملة عبر المحاور السياسية والإنسانية والأمنية والاقتصادية والقانونية والسردية الاستراتيجية، وتشكل إطارًا متكاملًا وقابلًا للتنفيذ من أجل تطبيق حل الدولتين وتحقيق السلم والأمن للجميع".
ودعا جميع الدول الأعضاء في الأمم المتحدة إلى تأييد الوثيقة الختامية قبل انتهاء أعمال الدورة المقبلة للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة التي ستعقد في سبتمبر المقبل.
وجدد وزير الخارجية إدانة جميع الهجمات من أي طرف ضد المدنيين، بما في ذلك الهجمات العشوائية وكل الاعتداءات ضد الأعيان المدنية والأعمال الاستفزازية والتحريض والتدمير.

وتتضمن الوثيقة الاتفاق على العمل المشترك لإنهاء الحرب في غزة والتوصل إلى تسوية عادلة وسلمية ودائمة للصراع الإسرائيلي الفلسطيني بناء على التطبيق الفعال لحل الدولتين، وبناء مستقبل أفضل للفلسطينيين والإسرائيليين وجميع شعوب المنطقة.
ويهدف مؤتمر حل الدولتين الذي انعقد على مدى 3 أيام، إلى اتخاذ خطوات ملموسة محددة بإطار زمني ولا يمكن التراجع عنها من أجل التسوية السلمية للقضية الفلسطينية، والمضي قدما في تطبيق حل الدولتين، وتجسيد -بأسرع وقت ممكن عبر أعمال ملموسة- الدولة الفلسطينية المستقلة بما يكفل للشعب الفلسطيني حقوقه المشروعة في العيش بكرامة على أرضه.
