ترودو: العمليات العسكرية الإسرائيلية في غزة تزيد من صعوبة الاستقرار في المنطقة

قال رئيس الوزراء الكندي جستن ترودو، اليوم /الجمعة/، إن العمليات العسكرية الإسرائيلية في قطاع غزة، تزيد من صعوبة تحقيق الاستقرار طويل الأمد في المنطقة.
وأضاف ترودو للصحفيين في قمة (أبيك): "كندا تشعر بقلق بالغ إزاء عدد الضحايا المدنيين في غزة.. لأن الخسائر في الأرواح أمر مفجع، وأيضًا لأن الطريق نحو دولة يهودية آمنة وقابلة للحياة ومستقلة إلى جانب دولة فلسطينية مستقلة آمنة وقابلة للحياة أصبح أكثر صعوبة مع كل الصعوبات التي يمر بها الفلسطينيون".
وعندما سُئل ترودو، كرر أيضًا دعوته لإسرائيل لإظهار "أقصى قدر من ضبط النفس"- وهي عبارة استخدمها يوم الثلاثاء الماضي.
وتابع إن خلال محادثته يوم أمس الخميس مع عضو مجلس الوزراء الحربي الإسرائيلي بيني جانتس، سلط الضوء على "قلق كندا العميق" بشأن ما حذرت الأمم المتحدة من "كارثة إنسانية ستضرب ملايين الأشخاص في الشرق الأوسط".
وأردف أنه "كانت لديه خلافات طويلة مع رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو حول ضرورة حل الدولتين، وحول إدانتنا للمستوطنات (غير القانونية)" لكنه أشار إلى أن هذه هي السياسة الخارجية لكندا منذ فترة طويلة.
