نجح مستشفى الدكتور سليمان الحبيب بالخبر، في إنقاذ حياة مريض في العقد الثامن من العمر، أصيب بانسدادات شديدة وتضيقات في الصمام الأورطي القلبي، تسبب له في الشعور بالام حادة بمنطقة الصدر تزداد حدتها عند المشي والحركة الأمر الذي أوقفه عن أداء مهمامه اليومية.

وقال الدكتور المعتصم بالله أنه نتيجة للأعراض الشديدة التي عانى منها المريض تم إخضاعه لعملية تشخيصية ، تم فيها التأكد من سلامة الشرايين القلبية قبل البدء بمعالجة واستبدال الصمام الأورطي، تبع ذلك إجراء فحوصات دقيقة بالاشعة المقطعية (C.T Scan) لتحديد قياسات الصمام الأورطي في نفس اليوم.
