السيد فهد يستقبل مسؤولين بمنظمة الطيران المدني الدولي

استقبل صاحب السمو السيد فهد بن محمود آل سعيد نائب رئيس الوزراء لشؤون مجلس الوزراء، أمس، معالي سلفاتوري شاكيتانو رئيس مجلس منظمة الطيران المدني الدولي، ومعالي خوان کارلوس سالازار الأمين العام لمنظمة الطيران المدني الدولي "الإيكاو"؛ اللذين يحضران مؤتمر أمن الطيران المدني، والاجتماع الوزاري رفيع المستوى بشأن إعلان مسقط لأمن الطيران المدني المنعقدين بسلطنة عُمان ممثلة في هيئة الطيران المدني.
ويُشارك في المؤتمر الذي يُعقد لأول مرة خارج مدينة مونتريال أكثر من 600 مسؤول ومختص من مختلف دول العالم الأعضاء في "الإيكاو".
ورحّب سموه بأصحاب المعالي الضيوف، وأعرب عن تقدير سلطنة عُمان للدور البنّاء الذي تضطلع به منظمة الطيران المدني الدولي في توفير الأمن والسلامة للنقل الجوي الدولي، مؤكدًا سموه تعاون سلطنة عُمان الكامل مع المنظمة في جهودها لتطوير وتنظيم حركة الملاحة الجوية والارتقاء بقطاع الطيران المدني بما يخدم كافة الدول.
وشهدت المقابلة استعراض الموضوعات التي يتضمنها جدول أعمال المؤتمر الدولي، وفي مقدمتها سُبُل تعزيز التعاون بين الدول في مجالات الطيران المدني، ووسائل النهوض بالتنمية الاقتصادية للنقل الجوي، مع أهمية تضافر الجهود لتقديم الدعم لشركات الطيران، وتوفير التسهيلات في المطارات لضمان سلامة الركاب.
وأعرب معالي رئيس مجلس منظمة الطيران المدني الدولي، والأمين العام للمنظمة "الإيكاو" عن تقديرهما لسلطنة عُمان لاستضافتها للمؤتمر العالمي، ودورها الريادي في تعزيز أمن الطيران على المستويين الإقليمي والدولي، مشيديْن بما أنجزته سلطنة عُمان في مجال إنشاء أحدث المطارات وتوفير أعلى معدلات الأمان للرحلات الجوية الدولية.
حضر المقابلة معالي المهندس سعيد بن حمود المعولي وزير النقل والاتصالات وتقنية المعلومات، وسعادة المهندس نايف بن علي بن حمد العبري رئيس هيئة الطيران المدني.
