مع حلول شهر رمضان، تملأ رائحة التمور الأسواق والبيوت في العالم العربي والإسلامي، فلا مائدة إفطار تكتمل بدونها، هذه الفاكهة الصغيرة ليست مجرد طعام، بل رمز للكرم والضيافة، تحمل في طياتها تاريخًا وثقافة تمتد عبر قرون.
لكن وراء كل حبة تمر قصة أكبر، قصة إنتاج وتنافس عالمي تضع الدول العربية في صدارة المشهد.
من مصر إلى السعودية، مرورًا بالجزائر وغيرها، كيف أصبحت التمور كنزًا اقتصاديًا وثقافيًا؟ دعونا نغوص في تفاصيل هذه الرحلة الشيقة.
إنتاج عالمي ضخم: مصر تتربع على العرش
في عام 2023، وصل الإنتاج العالمي للتمور إلى 9.82 مليون طن، وفقًا لمنظمة الأغذية والزراعة (الفاو). لكن اللافت أن مصر استحوذت على نصيب الأسد، حيث أنتجت 1.87 مليون طن، أي ما يقارب خُمس الإنتاج العالمي.
هذا الرقم ليس مجرد إحصائية، بل شهادة على قدرة مصر على استغلال أراضيها الخصبة وخبرتها الطويلة في زراعة النخيل.
وتحت شمس الصحراء الحارقة، تحولت واحاتها إلى مصانع طبيعية تنتج هذه الثمرة التي تحمل لقب "الذهب البني"، لتكون المحرك الأول في سوق التمور العالمي.
السعودية والجزائر في المراتب الأولى
وتحلّ المملكة العربية السعودية في المرتبة الثانية عالميًا بإنتاج 1.64 مليون طن، مستفيدة من المساحات الشاسعة لواحات النخيل، والاستثمارات الضخمة في قطاع التمور.
فيما تحتل الجزائر المركز الثالث بإنتاج 1.32 مليون طن، حيث تشتهر بتمور "دقلة نور" التي تعدّ من أجود الأنواع عالميًا.
الإنتاج العربي.. هيمنة على المشهد
وتعكس قائمة الدول العشر الأولى في إنتاج التمور حضورًا عربيًا طاغيًا، حيث تعتمد زراعة النخيل على المناخ الصحراوي الجاف، وتتطلب موارد مائية أقل مقارنة بالعديد من المحاصيل الأخرى.
وإلى جانب مصر والسعودية والجزائر، تضم القائمة دولًا مثل العراق، إيران، السودان، سلطنة عمان، تونس، والإمارات، وفقًا لتقرير صادر عن "Statista".
ابتكارات جديدة في صناعة التمور
ولم يتوقف الاهتمام بالتمور عند إنتاجها واستهلاكها التقليدي، بل دخلت مجال الصناعات التحويلية بقوة. ففي نوفمبر 2024، أطلقت السعودية أول مشروب غازي مستخرج من التمر، تحت اسم "ميلاف كولا"، كمنتج فريد عالميًا.
وتعود ملكية هذا الابتكار لشركة "تراث المدينة"، التابعة لصندوق الاستثمارات العامة السعودي، ومن المتوقع أن يصبح متاحًا قريبًا في الأسواق المحلية والعالمية.
وتمثل التمور أكثر من مجرد غذاء في العالم العربي والإسلامي؛ إنها جزء من الهوية والموروث الثقافي.
ومع تزايد الابتكارات في القطاع، يبدو أن هذه الفاكهة التاريخية مرشحة للعب دور اقتصادي أكبر في المستقبل، سواء من حيث الإنتاج أو التصنيع، ما يعزز مكانة الدول العربية في سوق الأغذية العالمية.
