انتقد أمير الكويت الشيخ مشعل الأحمد، قرارات شقيقه الأمير الراحل الشيخ نواف الأحمد الجابر الصباح، قائلا: "لم نخالف الأمير الراحل في القرارات التي أمر بها رغم عدم قناعتنا ببعضها".
وعقب أداء اليمين الدستورية، قال أمير البلاد إنه "يتوجب علينا كقيادة سياسية أن نكون قريبين من الجميع.
