استقبل صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير عبدالعزيز بن سعد بن عبد العزيز أمير منطقة حائل بمكتبه اليوم، رئيس الهيئة العامة للمساحة والمعلومات الجيومكانية الدكتور المهندس محمد بن يحيى آل صايل، والرئيس التنفيذي لهيئة تطوير منطقة حائل عمر بن عبدالله العبدالجبار.
ونوه سموه بدعم القيادة الحكيمة للهيئة والدور الذي تقوم به في تنظيم قطاع المساحة والمعلومات الجيومكانية في المملكة؛ ومراقبته والارتقاء به والإشراف عليه، مؤكدًا دور المعلومات الجيومكانية التي تعد ركيزةً أساسية لدعم اتخاذ القرار نحو تحقيق المستهدفات الوطنية.
من جهته أعرب الدكتور المهندس آل صايل عن شكره لسمو أمير منطقة حائل على اهتمامه وتوجيهاته، مؤكداً أن الهيئة وُجدت لخدمة الجميع وتعمل على التكامل مع الجهات الأمنية والخدمية والاقتصادية كافة والإسهام في تمكين القطاعات التنموية.
بعد ذلك شهد سموه مراسم توقيع مذكرة تعاون مشترك بين الهيئة العامة للمساحة والمعلومات الجيومكانية وهيئة تطوير منطقة حائل بهدف الاستفادة من المعلومات والبيانات والخدمات الجيومكانية لتحقيق المصلحة الوطنية، حيث وقع الاتفاقية رئيس الهيئة العامة للمساحة والمعلومات الجيومكانية، والرئيس التنفيذي لهيئة تطوير منطقة حائل.
