نجح مستشفى الدكتور سليمان الحبيب بالخبر، في إجراء عملية دقيقة وعاجلة لإنقاذ نظر مراجعة في العقد الثالث من العمر، نتيجة إصابتها في حادث. ذكر ذلك الدكتور نايف السليماني استشاري طب وجراحة العيون، رئيس الفريق الطبي المعالج.
والذي أضاف بأنه فور وصول المراجعة لقسم الطوارىء بالمستشفى ، تم عمل فحص إكلينيكي لجميع أجزاء العين، ووضع تقييم شامل لوضعها الصحي، وتبين أن المحاولات العلاجية السابقة قبل القدوم إلى مستشفى الدكتور سليمان الحبيب، نتج عنها ضُعف شديد في مستويات الرؤية، وحدوث تحدب في جدار العين، حيث تم إستدعاء فريق طبي من استشاريي العيون والعناية المركزة والتخدير، وإخضاع المراجعة للكشف السريري الاكلينيكي، وإجراء فحوصات دقيقة بالأشعة المقطعية (C.

T Scan).

موضحاً أن العملية استغرقت ساعتين متواصلة تحت التخدير العام لمعالجة أثار الحادث، وتم فيها استخدام أحدث أجهزة تنظيف السائل الزجاجي ، كما تم إصلاح التمزق الشديد في جدار العين، نقلت بعدها إلى جناح التنويم مع وضعها تحت الملاحظة على مدار الساعة، وبعد 3 أيام من العملية تم إزالة رباط العين، وبعد إجراء الفحص تبين تحسن النظر بالعين اليسرى وعودة الرؤية ولله الحمد.
وأكد الدكتور نايف السليماني أن الفريق الطبي لم يكتفي بعلاج العين المصابة، بل قام بوضع خطة علاجية دقيقة لإعادة النظر للعين اليمنى المفقودة منذ الصغر، وتحسين جودة الحياة للمراجعة، وذلك عبر تكوين فريق طبي يشمل كافة التخصصات المختلفة للعيون مثل القرنية والشبكية والماء الأزرق ومحجر العين.
