الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء تعتمد أول علاج جيني لمرضى الهيموفيليا «B» في المملكة

أعلنت الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء عن تسجيل مستحضر هيمجينيكس ”Hemgenix“، ليكون أول علاج جيني معتمد لمرضى الهيموفيليا «B» المتوسط وشديد الخطورة في المملكة. إذ يعد مرض الهيموفيليا B من الأمراض المهددة للحياة، وهو اضطراب وراثي نادر ناتج عن خلل في الجين المسؤول عن إنتاج عامل التخثر التاسع «IX»، وهو بروتين يؤدي دورًا أساسيًا في عملية تخثر الدم ووقف النزيف.

فعالية وسلامة وجودة المستحضر

طريقة الاستعمال
وبعد حقن الدواء في الوريد، يبدأ الجسم في إنتاج عامل التخثر التاسع، والذي يساهم في استعادة عملية تخثر الدم ووقف النزيف بشكل طبيعي. ويستخدم الدواء مرة واحدة فقط لتحفيز إنتاج عامل التخثر التاسع «IX».
أعراض جانبية غير خطيرة
وأشارت إلى أن الدراسات السريرية التي أُجريت على الدواء أظهرت أن هناك أعراضًا جانبية غير خطيرة، كان أكثرها شيوعًا الصداع، وزيادة مستويات إنزيمات الكبد في الدم، وأعراضًا مشابهةً للإنفلونزا. كما نتج عن تلك الدراسات وجود تعارضات للدواء مع بعض الأدوية التي لها تأثير في وظائف الكبد.
