تشهد ولاية فيكتوريا الأسترالية أزمة جفاف هي الأشد منذ أربعة عقود، مما أثّر بشكل كبير في الموارد المائية والغطاء النباتي.
وطالب السكان الحكومة بإعلان حالة الطوارئ لتفعيل برامج الإغاثة، في ظل تداعيات تهدد الأمن الغذائي والاقتصاد الزراعي في البلاد.
