نفت السفارة الأمريكية في طرابلس التقارير التي أفادت بأن الإدارة الأمريكية تعمل على خطة لنقل الفلسطينيين من قطاع غزة إلى ليبيا بشكل دائم.
وكانت التقارير قد تداولت مؤخرًا عن خطة مزعومة من إدارة الرئيس الأمريكي الأسبق، دونالد ترامب، لنقل ما يصل إلى مليون فلسطيني من قطاع غزة إلى ليبيا.

في تدوينتها، أكدت السفارة الأمريكية أن التقارير المتعلقة بخطط نقل سكان غزة إلى ليبيا "عار عن الصحة"، وأوضحت أن وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية ومجلس الأمن القومي قد أكدوا عدم صحة هذه المعلومات.

نفي رسمي لما تم تداوله إعلاميًاوأكد المتحدث أن الخطة التي تم تداولها "غير منطقية" وغير مطروحة للنقاش، مما يعكس الموقف الرسمي الأمريكي بشأن الأخبار المتداولة.
