عرضت قناة القاهرة الإخبارية خبرا عاجلا يفيد بأن مجلس الشيوخ الأمريكي يصوت على مشروع قرار يمهد لإنهاء الإغلاق الحكومي.
وذكرت صحيفة بوليتيكو الأمريكية، نقلاً عن مصدرين مطلعين، أن أعضاء مجلس الشيوخ توصلوا إلى اتفاق مبدئي يهدف إلى إنهاء الإغلاق الحكومي الذي يعطل العديد من الخدمات الفيدرالية منذ بداية أكتوبر الجاري.
وأوضح التقرير أن الاتفاق يشمل تسهيلات لتجاوز الخلافات السياسية بين الحزبين الجمهوري والديمقراطي، بما يسمح باستئناف عمل الوكالات الفيدرالية وإعادة تسيير مراقبة الحركة الجوية والخدمات المدنية الأساسية، التي تضررت بشدة خلال الأسابيع الماضية.
ويأتي هذا التطور بعد ضغوط اقتصادية وسياسية مكثفة، إذ تسبب الإغلاق في شلل جزئي للقطاع الحكومي الأمريكي، وتأثر قطاعات حيوية مثل الطيران والمساعدات الاجتماعية، إضافة إلى تعطيل صرف رواتب آلاف الموظفين الفيدراليين. كما حذر خبراء اقتصاديون من أن استمرار الأزمة كان سيؤثر سلباً على النمو الأمريكي، خاصة مع اقتراب موسم عطلة عيد الشكر.
