شهد مستشفى الدكتور سليمان الحبيب بالخبر، إجراء عملية استبدال مفصل ركبة معقدة وناجحة، أنهت معاناة سيدة "سبعينية" كانت قد خضعت لجراحة مماثلة بمستشفى آخر منذ نحو "15" عاماً، وعانت منذ ذلك الوقت من حزمة واسعة من الأعراض الحادة، التي غيرت نمط حياتها.

. ”الدمام الصحية“ تحتفي بـ 80 بطلًا من التمريضوقال د. محمد عبدالله القحطاني استشاري جراحة العظام واستبدال المفاصل والإصابات الرياضية، رئيس الفريق الطبي المعالج للحالة، أن المراجعة قدمت إلى المستشفى وهي تشتكي من عدم القدرة على الحركة، والآلام الحادة والتورم، ، مع تشوه واضح في الساق والركبة، إضافة إلى أنها مصابة بضغط الدم والسكري.
وأوضح د. القحطاني أن الفريق الطبي أخضعها لفحوصات طبية دقيقة، أهمها الأشعة المقطعية لاختبار جودة العظام وكثافتها، والتأكد مما إذا كانت مصابة بالهشاشة أم لا، وغيرها من الفحوصات التي بينت وجود تخلخل وانحراف في المفصل، مع تشكل زوائد عظمية خارجه.
واستطرد قائلاً أن المراجعة أخضعت لعملية جراحية معقدة تم فيها استبدال مفصل الركبة المتأثر بمفصل نوعي مخصص لمثل هذه الحالات، كما تم وضع دعامات لتثبيت المفصل، مشيراً إلى أن العملية مضت بصورة سلسلة ووفقاً للخطة العلاجية، وتكللت ولله الحمد جهود الفريق الطبي بالنجاح، إذ عادت المريضة للمشي على قدميها بصورة طيبة بعد العملية بساعات، قبل أن تغادر المستشفى بعد أيام بحالة جيدة.
