وأضاف اليامي، خلال لقائه ببرنامج «الموقف» المذاع على قناة السعودية، أن بيان وزارة الخارجية شديد الوضوح، فيما يحاول الجانب الأمريكي استثمار أي نجاح في الشرق الأوسط لنقوية حظوظهم في الانتخابات القادمة.
وأردف، أن المملكة وضعت النقاط على الحروف فيما يتعلق بمسار العلاقات السعودية الأمريكية، وكذلك التطرق إلى مسار السلام العربي الإسرائيلي لتأكيد أن قضية السلام في الشرق الأوسط هي قضية إسرائيلية عربية، مشيرا إلى أن البيان السعودي أكد مسار المستقبل بشأن الحق الفلسطيني مع دعوة الدول الفاعلة التي لها حق الفيتو في مجلس الأمن، للتحرك نحو قضية الدولة الفلسطينية.
كانت وزارة الخارجية، أكدت موقف المملكة الثابت تجاه القضية الفلسطينية، مشددة على أنه فيما يتعلق بالمناقشات الجارية مع الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية بخصوص مسار السلام العربي - الإسرائيلي، فإن وزارة الخارجية تؤكد أن موقف المملكة كان ولا يزال ثابتاً تجاه القضية الفلسطينية وضرورة حصول الشعب الفلسطيني الشقيق على حقوقه المشروعة.
