حصيلة جديدة لضحايا إعصار كالمايجي في الفلبين

أودى الإعصار كالمايجي بحياة 66 شخصا على الأقل في الفلبين، وفق ما أعلن مسؤولون في الدفاع المدني الأربعاء، في أحدث حصيلة للكارثة التي تسببت في فيضانات عنيفة نادرة الحدوث.
وقال رافاييلتو أليخاندرو، وهو مسؤول في الدفاع المدني، لإذاعة محلية أن "المدن الكبرى والمناطق الحضرية ذات الكثافة السكانية العالية، هي الأكثر تضررا" مضيفا أن 49 من أصل 66 ضحية سُجلت في مقاطعة سيبو (وسط).
وغمرت المياه بلدات بأكملها في هذه المنطقة الثلاثاء، فيما حاول السكان البحث عن ملجأ من المياه الموحلة التي جرفت سيارات وشاحنات وحتى حاويات شحن ضخمة، بحسب ما أظهرت مقاطع فيديو.
ووصفت حاكمة المقاطعة باميلا باريكواترو الوضع بأنه "غير مسبوق"، قائلة في منشور على فيسبوك إن الفيضانات "مدمرة".
وقال أليخاندرو الثلاثاء إنه تم نقل حوالى 400 ألف شخص بشكل استباقي من مسار الإعصار.
