U.S. President Donald Trump announced early Wednesday, July 2, 2025, that Israel has agreed to a proposal for a 60-day ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

In a post on the "Truth Social" platform, Trump stated that his representatives held a "long and productive" meeting with Israeli officials regarding the war in Gaza, announcing that Israel had agreed to the "necessary terms" for a ceasefire agreement that would last 60 days, during which efforts would be made to end the war permanently.

He added that Qatar and Egypt would present the final proposal, emphasizing that "the Qataris and Egyptians have worked tirelessly to achieve peace."

Trump continued, "I hope, for the sake of the Middle East, that Hamas agrees to this deal, as the situation will not improve but will worsen," just days before the anticipated official visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Washington, where he is expected to meet with the U.S. president.

Saudi Arabia Emphasizes the Need to Create a New Reality in Which Palestine Enjoys Peace

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia emphasized, on Tuesday evening, the necessity of establishing a new reality in which Palestine enjoys peace in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions.

Minister of State, member of the Cabinet for Shura Council Affairs, and acting Minister of Media, Essam bin Saad bin Saeed, stated in a press release to the Saudi Press Agency following a session chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in Jeddah on Tuesday, that the Council confirmed the role of the international community in ending the catastrophic repercussions of the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people, protecting innocent civilians, and creating a new reality where Palestine enjoys peace in line with international legitimacy resolutions.

Director of Field Hospitals in Gaza Warns of Imminent Health Catastrophe Due to Fuel Shortage

Dr. Marwan Al-Hamas, Director of Field Hospitals at the Ministry of Health in Gaza, warned of an impending catastrophe if the Nasser Medical Complex were to cease operations due to a lack of fuel for the generators.

In statements to the media, Al-Hamas explained that the remaining fuel supplies in the Gaza Strip are rapidly depleting, directly threatening the continued operation of hospitals and their ability to provide care to patients and the injured.

He added that most of the injuries arriving at the hospitals are severe, particularly in the upper parts of the body, in addition to numerous cases of meningitis among children, further straining the already exhausted healthcare sector, which has been deeply affected by the ongoing blockade and continuous bombardment.

Father of a Prisoner in Gaza: Netanyahu Aware That No Agreement Better Than Current Ceasefire Proposal

Israeli Army Radio reported that the father of one of the prisoners held by the resistance in Gaza stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is well aware that "there will be no better agreement than the current one on the table."

This statement follows U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement early Wednesday that Israel has agreed to the necessary terms for a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza, during which efforts will resume to end the war.

Tel Aviv estimates the number of Israeli prisoners in Gaza at 50, with 20 still alive, while Israel holds more than 10,400 Palestinian prisoners, amid human rights reports of torture and medical neglect that have led to the deaths of several prisoners.

United Nations: Gaza Strip Facing a Shortage of Livelihood Opportunities

The United Nations has once again warned of the worsening humanitarian situation necessary for the survival of Palestinians, emphasizing that the Gaza Strip is "experiencing a shortage of livelihood opportunities and limited shelter options" due to the ongoing attacks by the Israeli occupation forces.

This was stated in a press release published by the UN on its website on Wednesday, where it documented several Israeli violations against civilians in Gaza since Sunday.

The statement noted that many families who fled from schools that had been bombed by the Israeli occupation in recent days "have now returned to northern Gaza, largely due to the lack of alternative livelihood opportunities and the limited availability of shelter in other areas."

Médecins Sans Frontières Warns: Health Situation in Gaza is Catastrophic, System on the Brink of Collapse

The Medical Director of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) stated on Wednesday that the health situation in the Gaza Strip has reached catastrophic levels, with a significant collapse of the healthcare system.

He pointed out that the organization has not received any medical supplies for over 100 days, warning that the cessation of aid deliveries in the next two weeks would force them to halt their medical services.

He added that the Israeli side is obstructing the entry of medical supplies into the Gaza Strip, further exacerbating the crisis.

The director clarified that there are around 110 cases of malnutrition among children daily, and that the shortage of medical supplies and specialized personnel are among the greatest challenges they face.

Al-Aloul: Gaza Strip Has Become Uninhabitable on All Levels

Fatah's Vice President, Mahmoud Al-Aloul, stated on Wednesday that the occupation is daily employing new forms of killing our people through extraordinary massacres targeting institutions, facilities, and infrastructure, noting that the Gaza Strip has become uninhabitable on all levels.

In an interview with Palestine Voice Radio, Al-Aloul emphasized that the international response does not match the scale of the massacres committed by the occupation in Gaza, nor the violations and attacks by the occupation and its settlers in the West Bank and its refugee camps.

He stressed that the leadership is making tireless efforts to stop the aggression against our people and continues to mobilize efforts to highlight the suffering of our people in Gaza, the West Bank, including Jerusalem, from daily crimes and massacres. This, he said, has shifted global public opinion in favor of the Palestinian cause.

Palestinian Presidency Calls for a Strong U.S. Stance to End Aggression in Gaza and the West Bank

The Palestinian Presidency warned on Wednesday of the dangers posed by the Israeli occupation government's attempts to thwart efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and halting its attacks in the West Bank. Number of Palestinian Journalists Under Administrative Detention Rises to 22

The Palestinian Prisoners Club announced on Wednesday that the number of Palestinian journalists under administrative detention in Israeli occupation prisons, under the pretext of having a "secret file," has risen to 22.

In a press release, the club explained that the most recent administrative detainee is journalist Ahmed Al-Khatib, who was sentenced to six months of administrative detention. These journalists are among 55 detainees in Israeli prisons, with 49 of them still detained since the beginning of the genocide.

The Prisoners Club clarified that the number of arrests and detentions of journalists since the beginning of the genocide has reached at least 192 cases.

Death of Indonesian Hospital Director in Israeli Airstrike on His Home West of Gaza

Dr. Marwan Al-Sultan, the director of the Indonesian Hospital, was killed on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in an Israeli airstrike that targeted his home west of Gaza City.

In its obituary for Dr. Al-Sultan, the Gaza Ministry of Health stated: "Every crime against medical and humanitarian teams further confirms the bloody approach and deliberate targeting of them."

Gaza: 223 Additional Deaths Added to Total Casualty Toll from Israeli Aggression

The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Wednesday that 223 more victims have been added to the cumulative toll of martyrs, with their data completed and approved by the judicial committee overseeing the notifications and missing persons file.

In its daily report, the ministry stated that 142 victims (including 3 bodies retrieved) and 487 injuries were reported in Gaza's hospitals over the past 24 hours.

The total toll from the Israeli aggression has risen to 57,012 killed and 134,592 injured since October 7, 2023.

Knesset Rejects Bill to Ban Trade Relations with Gaza

The Israeli Knesset rejected on Wednesday a bill proposed by Knesset member Yulia Malinovsky, which aimed to designate the Gaza Strip as a "hostile area" and impose a trade ban on it, similar to the restrictions placed on countries such as Iran, Iraq, and Syria.

The proposal was voted down by 45 members, with only 6 in favor, and one member abstaining from voting, reflecting a clear rejection by the governing coalition of the proposed law.

Malinovsky criticized the vote outcome, saying, "You are giving Gaza and Hamas life. It is only natural to impose a trade ban on a hostile area like Gaza."

Switzerland Begins Procedures to Dissolve Gaza Humanitarian Foundation Branch in Geneva

Reuters reported that Switzerland has begun, on Wednesday, the procedures to dissolve the Geneva branch of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which is supported by both the U.S. and Israeli governments, citing legal flaws in its establishment.

The foundation began distributing food parcels in the Gaza Strip at the end of May, overseeing a new model for aid delivery that drew criticism from the United Nations for what was seen as a lack of neutrality in the Gaza war. Additionally, hundreds of Palestinians were killed in mass shootings near its distribution centers.

Reuters noted that the GHF is registered in Delaware, USA, and established its Geneva branch on February 12. The foundation did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the Swiss decision to shut down its Geneva office.

Hamas: We Are Holding National Consultations to Discuss Mediators' Proposals

Hamas stated on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in an official statement that it is conducting national consultations to discuss the proposals from mediators aimed at achieving a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and ending the aggression.

The movement said: "Our mediator brothers are making intensive efforts to bridge the gap between the parties and reach a framework agreement to begin serious negotiations."

It continued, "We are handling this matter with great responsibility and are holding national consultations to discuss the proposals we have received from the mediator brothers in order to reach an agreement that ensures the end of the aggression, the withdrawal, and the urgent relief of our people in the Gaza Strip."

Netanyahu: There Will Be No Hamas in Gaza, and We Will Succeed in Freeing All Prisoners

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Wednesday that Tel Aviv will succeed in freeing all prisoners, adding that his government will work to "completely eliminate Hamas" and prevent it from regaining control of the Gaza Strip.

Netanyahu made these remarks during a field visit to the "Katsa" company (Europe-Asia pipeline) in Ashkelon, at a time when internal disagreements within Israel are intensifying regarding the objectives of the war on Gaza, with discussions about the possibility of reaching a prisoner exchange deal for a ceasefire.

Amid internal criticism within Israel that talking about the eradication of Hamas might hinder negotiations and contradict efforts to free prisoners, Netanyahu said: "There will be no Hamas. There will be no Hamas twin. We will not go back to that. It's over. We will free all our captives," as he expressed.

Netanyahu also attacked Israeli positions that consider achieving both goals simultaneously to be contradictory, asserting: "What nonsense is this? It works together. We will achieve this together, contrary to what is said. We will uproot them from the roots. Our chances are enormous. We will not miss them. We will not miscalculate them, we will not lose them, and we will not waste them."

He added, "One power is weakening, and another is rising. Yes, I know some thought their power would rise, but this changed a bit. The power that has risen is the State of Israel. And this does not happen by chance. We have a tremendous opportunity, not just to defeat our enemies, but also to ensure our future economically, nationally, internationally, and in the energy sector."

He continued, "We will connect Asia and the Middle East, and the Arabian Peninsula with the vast energy resources they have, to the West. This will happen; we have much to do to ensure prosperity and growth beyond what we can imagine. We intend to enhance Israel's capabilities in the energy field. We have tremendous potential."

Netanyahu concluded, "Estimates indicate that gas revenues alone in the next decade will reach around 300 billion shekels. Do you remember when there was debate about this issue: 'This will destroy Israel's economy'? But it didn't destroy the economy – it built it, alongside other energy sources and facilities we are establishing."

Palestinian, Arab Condemnation of Israeli Statements Calling for the Annexation of the West Bank

The Palestinian Presidency, along with Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia, condemned on Wednesday evening, July 2, 2025, Israeli statements calling for the annexation of the West Bank.

The Palestinian Presidency condemned the dangerous Israeli calls to impose "Israeli sovereignty" on the occupied West Bank, as expressed by an Israeli minister. The presidency emphasized its complete rejection of these calls, as they contradict international resolutions and law, all of which affirm the need for the occupation to end on all Palestinian land occupied in 1967, including the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Presidential spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeineh stated that these rejected calls are part of the comprehensive war being waged by the occupation authorities against our people and land and represent ongoing Israeli attempts to implement their plans to liquidate the Palestinian cause. He further added that these condemned statements only serve to destabilize the situation and will not bring security to anyone. Instead, they will keep the entire region on the brink of an explosion, while also hindering the efforts being made, whether American, Egyptian, or Qatari, to end the war in Gaza and restore calm to the West Bank.

For its part, Egypt condemned the statements made by Israeli officials, including the Israeli Minister of Justice, calling for the annexation of the occupied West Bank and the imposition of "sovereignty" over it.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, expressed its firm rejection of these statements, which contradict international law and seek to entrench Israel's illegal occupation of Palestinian land, undermining the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state based on the June 4, 1967 borders, including the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem, in a manifestation of territorial unity for all Palestinian land.

Egypt reiterated its rejection of the Israeli violations in the West Bank, including military incursions, arrests, and the expansion of illegal settlements, alongside the ongoing crimes in Gaza targeting the very existence of the Palestinian people. The Egyptian government called on the international community to intervene immediately to stop these violations, emphasizing the necessity of joint efforts to fulfill Palestinian aspirations, foremost of which is the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on its entire national territory.

Similarly, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan condemned the dangerous statements made by Israeli officials, most recently the Israeli Minister of Justice’s remarks calling for the "imposition of sovereignty" over the occupied West Bank.

The Ministry expressed that these statements represent a blatant violation of international law and Israel’s obligations as the occupying power in Palestinian territories, and an unacceptable assault on the Palestinian people’s right to establish their independent, sovereign state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. Jordan reiterated its firm rejection and condemnation of these remarks, which reflect Israel’s extreme policies and its continued illegal practices in the West Bank, such as incursions, settlement building, and expansion, in clear violation of international legitimacy, including UN Security Council Resolution 2334 and the Advisory Opinion of the International Court of Justice, which confirmed the need to end the Israeli occupation and the illegality of settlement construction.

Jordan warned of the consequences of Israel's continued escalation policies and confirmed that all Israeli actions in the occupied West Bank are illegal and void. It called on the international community to bear its legal and moral responsibilities, obliging Israel, as the occupying power, to stop its aggression on Gaza and its violations in the West Bank, to provide international protection to the Palestinian people, and to ensure their legitimate rights to establish their independent state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Saudi Arabia also condemned the statements of an Israeli official calling for the imposition of sovereignty over the West Bank, in violation of international resolutions.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the Kingdom's stance against any attempts to expand settlements on Palestinian lands and stressed the importance of holding Israeli authorities accountable for international resolutions. The Kingdom reiterated its full support for the Palestinian people in reclaiming their legitimate rights in accordance with international law and the Arab Peace Initiative, and in the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. This stance remains steadfast and unwavering.

Israeli Army Intercepts Two Missiles Fired from Northern Gaza

The Israeli army announced on Wednesday evening, July 2, 2025, that it had intercepted two missiles fired from the northern Gaza Strip, which triggered sirens in nearby areas.

In a statement via the "X" platform, the army said: "Following the activation of sirens in the Sderot and Evi'im settlements, the Air Force intercepted two missiles launched from northern Gaza, with no casualties reported."

According to the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, this is the first time in over a month and a half that sirens have been activated in the two settlements due to missile launches from Gaza.

The newspaper noted that the missile launch occurred hours after a series of incidents (attacks) in northern Gaza, during which an armored corps fighter was killed and eight others were injured.

Fifteen Palestinians were martyred, and dozens were injured, on Wednesday evening, July 2, 2025, due to two Israeli airstrikes on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

In the first airstrike, nine Palestinians were martyred, and others were injured after an airstrike targeted a gathering of civilians near the entrance to the new camp in the northern part of Nuseirat.

Local residents reported that an Israeli aircraft fired a missile at the gathering near the new camp entrance, resulting in the martyrdom of nine people, including children, and injuries to several others.

A short time later, Israeli aircraft targeted a falafel stall near the administration building of the Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat, leading to the martyrdom of six more civilians and injuries to others.

Israel Has Arrested 55 Journalists Since the Start of the Gaza War

The Palestinian Prisoners Club reported on Wednesday evening, July 2, 2025, that Israel has arrested 55 journalists since the beginning of its war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.

In a press statement, the Prisoners Club said, "The Israeli authorities continue to escalate their targeting of journalists, having arrested 55 journalists since the beginning of the genocide, 49 of whom are still detained."

It added that the occupation continues to escalate its targeting of journalists through administrative detention, with the number of journalists held administratively in Israeli prisons rising to 22, the latest of whom is Ahmed Al-Khatib, who was sentenced to six months of administrative detention.

Jordan Evacuates 23 Sick Children from Gaza in the Sixth Batch

The Jordanian Armed Forces evacuated the sixth batch of sick children from the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, as part of an initiative launched by King Abdullah II in February 2025.

According to the Jordanian News Agency Petra, the evacuation included 23 children, accompanied by 46 family members.

It was reported that 19 children will receive treatment in private hospitals in Jordan, accompanied by 39 of their family members, while 4 children will be transferred to Turkey for treatment, accompanied by 7 family members.

The agency added that the patients and their companions were received in coordination with the Jordanian Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization, confirming that the evacuation operations were carried out with the highest levels of medical care.

With this step, the total number of sick children evacuated for treatment in Jordan since the initiative began in March 2025 has reached 77 children, in addition to 169 of their family members, who were transported both by land and air, according to the agency.

114 Martyrs in Gaza Since the Morning of Wednesday, July 2, 2025

A Palestinian medical source reported that 114 Palestinians, including children and women, have been martyred by Israeli army fire in various areas of the Gaza Strip since dawn until just before midnight on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.

The source clarified that among the martyrs, 24 were people waiting for aid.
