23 Palestinians Die of Malnutrition in Gaza Within Two Days

تاريخ النشر: 22nd, July 2025 GMT

Medical sources in hospitals across the Gaza Strip reported on Tuesday that 23 Palestinians have died over the past two days as a result of acute malnutrition and dehydration in various areas of the enclave, amid the ongoing Israeli blockade and the worsening humanitarian crisis.

The sources explained that four additional deaths were recorded since dawn today, including two children, bringing the toll of those who have perished due to hunger and lack of medical care to alarming levels, amid mounting warnings of an imminent collapse of the entire health system.

These deaths come at a time when Gaza’s hospitals are under immense pressure, receiving hundreds of patients suffering from severe emaciation and malnutrition—particularly among children and the elderly—amid a crippling shortage of food, medicine, and clean water.

This visit marks Netanyahu's third trip to the United States in six months. Israeli Cabinet Approves Expanding Humanitarian Aid Distribution Across Gaza

The Israeli Security Cabinet (kitchen cabinet) approved, early on Sunday, a plan to expand the distribution of humanitarian aid across the Gaza Strip, including the northern parts of the Strip, despite opposition from ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich.

The approval came alongside the advancement of a government plan to establish "tent cities" in the south, aimed at relocating residents from the north, under the pretext of "separating civilians from Hamas."

According to Hebrew media, the kitchen cabinet session, which took place early in the morning, lasted about five and a half hours and was marked by tense discussions, some of which escalated to shouting between participants. The main focus was the plan for distributing humanitarian aid in Gaza and the details of the next phase if the ceasefire comes into effect.

At the end of the session, the Cabinet agreed to proceed with the plan to establish designated areas for delivering humanitarian aid within Gaza, despite disagreements over the details.
