عبد العاطي يبحث مع مبعوثة الاتحاد الأوروبي تطورات القرن الأفريقي ودعم بعثة الاستقرار بالصومال

التقى الدكتور بدر عبد العاطي وزير الخارجية والهجرة وشئون المصريين بالخارج، بالسيدة آنيت فيبر مبعوثة الاتحاد الأوروبي للقرن الأفريقي، وذلك على هامش فعاليات النسخة الخامسة من منتدى أسوان للسلام والتنمية المستدامين. لبحث تطورات الأوضاع في منطقة القرن الأفريقي، فضلاً عن سبل تعزيز التعاون بين مصر والاتحاد الأوروبي في دعم الأمن والاستقرار والتنمية في المنطقة.
شدد الوزير عبد العاطي على ضرورة الإسراع في توفير التمويل لبعثة الاتحاد الأفريقي للدعم والاستقرار AUSSOM لضمان تنفيذ دورها في مكافحة الإرهاب ودعم الأمن والاستقرار في البلاد، مؤكداً أهمية الحفاظ على ما تحقق من مكتسبات أمنية وبناء مزيد من التقدم عليها، كما أبرز وزير الخارجية الدور المحوري الذي تضطلع به البعثة في مكافحة الإرهاب وفك الارتباط بين حركة الشباب والحوثيين، مشيراً إلى أنها أهداف مشتركة لكل من مصر والاتحاد الأوروبي، مستعرضاً الترتيبات الجارية لنشر القوات المصرية بالبعثة في إطار الجهود المصرية الرامية لتعزيز الأمن والاستقرار بالصومال والقرن الأفريقي.
وفيما يتعلق بتطورات الأوضاع في منطقة القرن الأفريقي، شدد الوزير عبد العاطي على رفض مصر للسياسات الهدامة المزعزعة للاستقرار في منطقة القرن الأفريقي، ودعم مصر للجهود الإقليمية والدولية الرامية لتحقيق الاستقرار وخفض التصعيد في المنطقة، كما أكد الوزير عبد العاطي أن حوكمة البحر الأحمر تظل شأنًا أصيلًا وحصريًا للدول المشاطئة له، باعتبارها المعنية بالحفاظ على أمنه واستقراره واستدامة موارده، وبما يعزز المصالح المشتركة لشعوبها ويكرس مبدأ الملكية الإقليمية في إدارة شؤونه.
وفيما يتعلق بالسودان، أكد وزير الخارجية الارتباط الوثيق بين أمن مصر واستقرار السودان، مشدداً على ضرورة دعم السودان ومؤسساته الوطنية واحترام سيادة السودان، موضحاً الجهود التي تبذلها القاهرة عبر الآلية الرباعية الدولية والاتحاد الأفريقي للتوصل إلى هدنة إنسانية لتسهيل نفاذ المساعدات الإنسانية ووقف إطلاق نار شامل وإطلاق عملية سياسية شاملة، مشدداً على ضرورة دعم حكومة الأمل برئاسة السيد كامل إدريس ورفض أي محاولات لتشكيل حكومة موازية. كما دعا المجتمع الدولي إلى الوفاء بتعهداته المالية تجاه السودان وتقاسم الأعباء مع دول الجوار، مشيراً إلى الفرص المتاحة أمام الاتحاد الأوروبي للمساهمة في إعادة إعمار السودان بالتعاون مع القطاع الخاص المصري في مجالات الطاقة والبنية التحتية والخدمات الأساسية.
